Arizona Technology Council recognizes HartSCI for advancements in imaging, adaptive optics, and optical communications
HartSCI has been named Innovator of the Year by the Arizona Technology Council at the 14th annual Southern Arizona Tech + Business Expo, held on October 21, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.
The award recognizes HartSCI’s contributions to advanced imaging, adaptive optics, and optical communications technologies, including solutions supporting space exploration, space domain awareness, and remote sensing.
As the demands on aerospace and optical systems continue to grow, the ability to capture, transmit, and interpret high-quality optical information is becoming increasingly important. From observing distant objects to tracking assets in space, these applications depend on technologies capable of delivering reliable data in challenging environments.
HartSCI is helping address these challenges through the development of adaptive optics and optical sensing systems designed to improve image quality, overcome optical distortion, and expand the capabilities of ground-based and space-related applications.
Through innovations such as its ClearStar™ LC platform, HartSCI continues to advance optical technologies that support scientific discovery, communications, and mission-critical operations.
The Southern Arizona Tech + Business Expo, hosted by the Arizona Technology Council and presented by South32, brought together more than 50 companies and 350 attendees to recognize achievements across the region’s growing technology sector.
HartSCI was one of four companies honored at this year’s event, alongside PowerPhotonic, Leonardo Electronics US Inc., and Intelligent Clinical Systems, Inc. The awards highlighted organizations making contributions to innovation, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, and technology development throughout Southern Arizona.
With a strong concentration of expertise in optics, photonics, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing, Southern Arizona continues to provide an important environment for technological development and collaboration.
For HartSCI, the Innovator of the Year recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing optical science and developing technologies that help researchers, aerospace organizations, and government partners see further, understand more, and make better-informed decisions.
